THE DAY OF YOUR TAN

  • Shower at least 4 hours prior to your tan. If you have to shower directly before your tan, opt for cold water to minimise the risk of enlarged pores or sweating.

  • Use oil-free washes and exfoliants, and avoid bar soaps.

    When you arrive, ensure your skin is free from perfumes, makeup, deodorant and lotions.

  • Wear loose, dark clothing to your appointment and don’t forget slip-on footwear for afterwards.

    Note: the bronzer from some of the solutions may transfer to your clothing, however it will wash off.

THE DAY BEFORE

  • If possible, do not shave or wax less than 24hrs prior to your tan. Hair removal too close to your tan appointment may result in a spotty, uneven tan and irritated skin.

  • Leading up to your appointment, ensure that exfoliating and moisturising are a part of your daily ritual. This ensures a flawless tan that lasts.

  • Avoid body oils and harsh soaps as they can dry the skin or create a barrier that may affect your tan result.

FAQ

  • Entering the Luxe Glow Tanning studio is as easy as downloading the Luxe Glow app.

    When you arrive at the studio, open the app, click CHECK IN and hold your phone 10-15cm from the Bluetooth reader at the door.

    Note: The door will only open 15 minutes before your appointment time.

  • You can wear your bathers, underwear, or simply go bare while in the VersaSpa.

  • Yes, we offer four levels of darkness.

    Our lightest colour is Level 1, which gives you just a hint of colour. This is best suited for tanners who have very pale skin.

    Level 2 [our most popular] is for a sun-kissed glow.

    Our darkest colour is Level 4, which gives you a deep, dark, rich bronzed tan. For experienced tanners only.

    Each skin type darkens and reacts differently to each solution level.

  • Our tanning booths are set up in their own private room, giving you complete privacy both pre and post-tan, which means no more stripping bare in front of strangers!

    The warm jets will dry you completely between each solution pass and at the end of your session, to ensure you walk out dry.

    Our booths self-clean at the end of each session keeping the booths fresh and clean.

  • The booth is designed to give every body type as close to a perfect tan as possible. We know every body shape is different, so sometimes there may be certain areas that it won’t be able to reach. For these moments, we have a small bottle of bronzing spray available for touch-ups after your tan.

    Luxe Tip: for the area under your bottom cheeks you can very slightly bend your knees rather than standing up straight to reach this area. For under the breasts – stand tall and pull your shoulders back slightly.

  • Time is precious, so we’ve made sure that the process is seamless and quick.

    The spray itself takes approximately 1-3 minutes, depending on which combination of sprays you choose. Your session, including dry and change time, should take about 15 minutes.

  • We recommend waiting at least 3 hours before taking a shower. Your recommended rinse time depends on your depth of colour choice. Waiting gives the spray tan solution enough time to fully set in your skin.

  • On average, a sunless tan will last 5 to 7 days.

    The longevity of a VersaSpa Tan depends on your skin’s natural exfoliation process and the skin regimen followed before and after application.

    The faster your skin regenerates, the faster the sunless tan will fade. The VersaSpa tan is created by DHA and Erythulose and affects only the top layer of the skin. It will begin to fade after 5 - 7 days as the skin naturally begins to exfoliate. It’s important to keep your skin moisturised after your VersaSpa session as dry, flaky skin will slough off faster and colour will fade sooner.
